Emerging from more than fifty years of educational research and experimentation in Auroville, the Triple Challenge Framework offers practical tools that help transform experience into conscious development.
The Triple Challenge Framework invites young people to design, undertake and reflect upon meaningful challenges that strengthen the body, educate the life-force and expand the mind.
It can be adapted to many different contexts, including schools, universities, internships, apprenticeship programmes, youth initiatives and professional development.
It begins with a question:
How can a challenge become a conscious occasion of & tool for progress?
Why Challenges?
Unless we begin a conscious process of Yoga. Many of the experiences that shape us deeply are not planned. They arise through moments of difficulty, uncertainty, failure, sudden or emerging responsibility, surprising discoveries and the countless situations that ask something new of us.
The Triple Challenge Framework proposes that these moments need not be left to circumstance. In fact, by consciously choosing areas of oneself to work upon, and setting oneself challenges, young people may begin to recognise patterns in their own development, strengthen their faculties and gradually take greater responsibility for the person they are becoming.

Research & Development
The Triple Challenge Framework is an evolving research initiative of SAIIER (Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Educational Research).
It is offered as a living framework that continues to evolve through practice, research and collaboration.
Educators, mentors, internship coordinators, youth programmes and educational institutes and other organisations are invited to test, adapt and contribute new practices, case studies and research that strengthen the framework for diverse contexts.
