The Integral Education Practitioners Gathering takes place twice a year, bringing together the educators from diverse Auroville schools and educational initiatives to explore education as a conscious and evolutionary process.

The Integral Educators Practitioners Gathering is an annual forum that brings together educators, facilitators, researchers, parents and collaborators engaged in the exploration of Integral Education.
It offers a space for reflection, dialogue and shared inquiry rooted in the vision of Sri Aurobindo, The Mother and the evolving experiment of Auroville.
This year’s theme, Towards Synthesis, arises from a growing recognition that education today calls not only for knowledge and skill, but for the capacity to hold complexity, embrace multiple perspectives and discover deeper unities behind apparent differences.
What is education truly for?
What knowledge should a human being as a human being possess and develop?
Is there a knowledge, possessing which, all else can be known?
Three Days of Collective Inquiry
Over three days, participants will explore a journey from the individual to the collective:
Day 1
Why am I here
The gathering begins with an inward inquiry into the educator’s own aspiration and purpose. Through readings, reflection and dialogue, we explore the qualities needed for inner growth and conscious participation in the work of education.
Day 2
With you
Education unfolds in relationships. We encounter different personalities, temperaments, perspectives and ways of knowing. Through collective inquiry, participants will explore how diversity can become a source of complementarity, collaboration and mutual growth.
Day 3
Now
The final day turns toward the present collective moment. How do we move beyond division and fixed positions? How do we cultivate the capacity for synthesis? Drawing upon the insights of the previous days, participants will explore possibilities for action, collaboration and the future of Integral Education in Auroville.
Towards Synthesis
29th September to 1st October 2026
The gathering will include collective readings from the works of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, group immersions on selected topics and experiential workshops. These spaces are intended to come together for cultivation of a shared field of inquiry.
A central feature of this year’s gathering will be thematic discussion groups where participants will engage with current questions and challenges in education. Through collective reflection, each group will formulate 3 propositions that can contribute to the ongoing evolution of educational practice in Auroville.
As educators, we are often called upon to navigate differing viewpoints, changing realities and emerging needs. This gathering invites us to strengthen our capacity for synthesis — not by erasing differences, but by discovering the deeper truths that can bring them into harmony.
